The 2025 Qingdao Wealth Forum, hosted by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government, will be held on December 26 in the Jinjialing Financial District, the administrative committee of the Jinjialing Financial Cluster announced.

Held under the theme "Wealth Management as a Catalyst for Qingdao's Chinese-Style Modernisation", the forum will bring together leading economists and finance scholars from China and abroad, senior executives of financial institutions, and drivers of industrial transformation to engage in in-depth discussions on new pathways and paradigms for wealth management under China's strategy to build a financial powerhouse.

The forum will feature one main forum and 3 parallel sessions. The main forum will take a macro-strategic perspective, examining new wealth management paradigms and the future direction of national financial development at the outset of China's 15th Five-Year Plan. The parallel sessions will focus on 3 priority areas: technology empowerment and industry–finance integration, green finance and ESG practices, as well as digital finance innovation and the commercialisation of results, with also in-depth discussions to delve into new wealth management pathways shaped by technological advancement, green transition and the digital wave.

Now in its 10th edition, the Qingdao Wealth Forum has consistently upheld a high-end, professional and international positioning to establish itself as one of the most influential annual events in China's wealth management sector. Past editions have drawn global attention while successfully creating a platform for dialogue among government, industry, academia, research institutions and capital to generate a wealth of ideas and partnership opportunities, with the forum becoming a premier window for observing industry trends, sharing reform experiences and building consensus on high-quality development in China's wealth management sector.

As one of China's key incubators for wealth management, Qingdao has been at the forefront of financial reform and innovation since receiving approval in 2014 to establish a national pilot zone for wealth management reform. The city has used wealth management as a driving force for deep structural transformation in the financial sector over the past 11 years to gradually build a distinctive and dynamic wealth management ecosystem that has powered rapid growth in its financial industry. And to that end, Qingdao ranked 35th worldwide in the September 2025 release of the 38th edition of the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI 38), marking its 18th consecutive appearance in the global top 50.
