The Luckin Coffee Innovation and Production Center has passed its completion inspection and is expected to begin trial runs by the end of the year, with full-scale production slated for March.

The project, located north of Hongxiang Third Road and west of Jinsheng Third Road in the Jihongtan Subdistrict of Chengyang District, covers about 100 mu (roughly 6.7 hectares) with a planned floor area of 50,000 square meters. Funded by Luckin Coffee Food (Qingdao) Co. Ltd., it is designed to become the country's largest coffee-roasting complex which includes a green-bean storage and distribution center, roasting workshops, a finished-goods warehouse, an office building, and supporting facilities. The center will be equipped with advanced smart-manufacturing systems to automate the entire production chain, from raw-bean processing and roasting to packaging and logistics.

According to Luckin Coffee’s 2025 Q3 report, the company operates 29,214 stores and serves an average of 112 million monthly transacting customers. The Qingdao project, which broke ground in August 2024, is expected to produce 55,000 tonnes of roasted coffee beans annually once fully operational to generate an estimated 3 billion yuan in yearly output.
