Launch of China-Uzbekistan Innovation Center on Advancing Engineering For Sustainable Development

Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU), in collaboration with Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) and other partners, launched the China-Uzbekistan Innovation Center on Advancing Engineering For Sustainable Development.
The inauguration ceremony was conducted online and offline, simultaneously at TIIAME and QAU, where representatives from both sides signed a cooperation agreement and unveiled the center's plaque to commemorate the successful endeavor.
Initiated by QAU, the Yellow River Delta Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Equipment Industry Research Institute, TIIAME, the International Association on Mechanization of Field Experiments (IAMFE), and the Consortium of Agricultural Universities for the Development of Central Asia and the South Caucasus (CASCADE), the China-Uzbekistan Innovation Center on Advancing Engineering For Sustainable Development will focus on sustainable agricultural engineering by leveraging the strengths of China and Uzbekistan to address practical challenges through technological innovation, talent development, social services, and industry collaboration. This is anticipated to drive sustainable agricultural development and create a new model for international cooperation in agricultural research between China and Uzbekistan.
