The 25th China Virtual Reality Conference (ChinaVR 2025), jointly organised by the China Simulation Federation, the China Computer Federation and the China Society of Image and Graphics, opened in Laoshan District on the morning of 1 November. Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor of Qingdao Wang Bo attended the opening ceremony and delivered his remarks.
The conference aims to promote exchange and collaboration among participants in virtual reality and related fields, foster innovation, keep pace with the latest technological and industry trends, and advance the practical application of emerging technologies, with experts, scholars and industry representatives exchanging latest research findings and insights during the event. Laoshan District presented its virtual reality and artificial intelligence industries, while the National Virtual Reality Innovation Center (Qingdao) reported on its development and operations.
The China Virtual Reality Conference was launched in 2001 by Zhao Qinping, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and has since held 24 editions. As the country's earliest academic platform dedicated to virtual reality, it provides opportunities to showcase new research and technological advances, while continuing to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across the industry.
