18 More Time-Honored Brands Added in Qingdao

The Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce recently released the 3rd list of the city's time-honored brands and enterprises, naming 18 new entries including Yonghongyuan from Qingdao Yonghongyuan Catering, Red Collar from Qingdao Kute Smart, and the Dayrich lactic acid beverage by Qingdao Dayrich Foods.

With the rise of domestic-style consumer trends, time-honored brands and enterprises are becoming an important driver of new consumption and fresh consumer experiences. The latest list is dominated by industries closely tied to daily life and tourism—such as food processing, catering, and knitwear—which are expected to leverage their brand heritage to further stimulate demand and energize the market.

Qingdao’s time-honoured brands and enterprises are a major force in driving consumption. The city's 23 national-level and 21 province-level heritage brands recorded combined revenues of 87.814 billion yuan in 2024, accounting for 32.77% of the total revenue among Shandong's 94 national-level and 246 province-level brands—the highest share in the province. Of these, 21 companies each posted revenues exceeding 1 billion yuan, representing nearly half of the province's top performers.

Qingdao's constant nurture of a supportive business environment has helped time-honored brands in playing a stronger role to boost domestic consumption. The city is home to 123 such enterprises across 3 categories to date, with the largest number of national-level heritage brands in Shandong Province.
