To further implement the study and education campaign on fostering and practising a sound approach to official performance, advance the Year of Work Style Construction campaign, deepen support services for retired veteran cadres while further enhancing the precision of service management, the Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau has launched a full-coverage home visit campaign for these veteran retirees of the CPC across the bureau's system ahead of the CPC’s founding anniversary celebration through a bureau-wide care and outreach program to provide close, caring support for them.

During the visits, the officials adopted a problem-oriented approach to integrate this practical assistance initiative to provide care for the veteran retirees into the Year of Work Style Construction campaign. They carried out comprehensive assessments of the retirees' daily living conditions, healthcare access, cultural and recreational activities, as well as family circumstances. Issues that could be resolved immediately were addressed on the spot while more complex matters were promptly assigned curated solutions followed by coordinated action, implementation, ongoing follow-up and timely feedback.

At each household, the officials conveyed their greetings and best wishes on behalf of the bureau's CPC leadership and paid tribute to the retirees' contributions to the Party and the country. They also briefed them on policies covering medical benefits and other entitlements for veteran retirees while checking the implementation of living allowances, nursing care subsidies and related benefits. In addition, the officials also sought the retirees' personal opinions on the formulation of the 15th Five-Year Plan to draw on their experience and suggestions to support future development. The bureau said the initiative aims to strengthen retirees' sense of honour and belonging, encourage them to remain true to their original aspirations, and inspire them to continue contributing to the city's high-quality economic and social development.

The retirees and their families expressed heartfelt appreciation for the bureau’s care and support, iterating their continued support for the development of the city's natural resources and planning sector while contributing in whatever way they could.

The Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau affirm its efforts on a sustained institutionalisation of regular home visits to further strengthen its service program for veteran retirees of the CPC to ensure they receive respect, care, support in their daily lives and emotional wellbeing, along with full access to their entitled benefits. The bureau will also work to better understand retirees' individual needs in areas such as healthcare, domestic services, emotional support and hardship assistance, with the aim of improving service delivery and providing more responsive, people-centred support.
