With a robust industrial foundation, substantial scale, and a complete system, Qingdao stands as a formidable player in the economic landscape. Based on the city's economic development foundation and characteristics, Qingdao has identified "7+10+7" as 24 key industrial chains, strategically positioning itself for future growth and innovation. 

The first "7" in Qingdao's strategic plan emphasizes the expansion and strengthening of seven major advantageous industrial chains: intelligent home appliances, rail transit equipment, new energy vehicles, high-end chemicals, marine equipment, food and beverages, and the textile and garment industry. The "10" represents the breakthrough development of ten emerging industrial chains: integrated circuits, new display technologies, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, bio-medicine and medical devices, intelligent manufacturing equipment, advanced polymer and metal materials, precision instruments, general aviation, and hydrogen and energy storage technologies. The second "7" focuses on vigorously developing seven modern service industry chains: modern finance, modern logistics, modern trade, software and information services, science and technology services, cultural tourism, and the convention and exhibition industry.

Leveraging its robust industrial foundation, Qingdao has formed numerous industrial clusters.Shandong Province, where Qingdao is located, is the only province in China to possess all industrial categories, boasting complete and comprehensive industrial and supply chains.

Qingdao's manufacturing industry is well-developed, featuring prominently in sectors such as automobiles, rail transit, marine heavy industry, and aviation.
